Balancing Earth and Mind: The Power of Schumann Resonances

At this very moment, somewhere on the planet, a storm is raging with thunder rumbling in the air and lightning striking the ground. It’s estimated that lightning hits the Earth around 50 to 100 times per second. In 1952, a German physicist named Winfried Otto Schumann discovered what Nikola Teslaٖٖٖٖٖٖ had previously predicted that this creates the formation of low frequency electromagnetic waves that surround the entire planet which he named the Schumann Resonances (SR). SR occurs in between the surface of the Earth and the ionosphere, the outer edge of the atmosphere and its radiation is able to penetrate and travel through most materials including your body.

Nikola Tesla once said “Our entire biological system, the brain and the earth itself work on the same frequency”. Humans are bioelectrical systems. Our hearts and brains are regulated by internal bioelectrical signals. Earth resonates at the same rhythm and rate as our brain and heart. Did you know that the heart emits a frequency every time it beats that can be measured up to 3 ft outside of the body? It is our heart’s rhythm that syncs up to the rhythm of the Earth. Scientists 1 have found some similarities between the energy circulating in the inner brain and the energy circulating on the Earth. There are eight SR frequencies 7.8 Hz, 13.7 Hz, 19.6 Hz, 25.5 Hz, 31.4 Hz, 37.3 Hz, and 43.2 Hz. The foundational frequency of SR is around 7.83, which falls within the brain’s Alpha (8 to 13 Hz) and Theta (4 to 8 Hz) brain waves. These are the brain waves which are associated with relaxation, creativity, and meditative states. Researchers have found indications that listening to SR frequencies or sounds seem to lower blood pressure and increase health. Scientific research has also revealed several benefits associated with the SR such as: the ability to promote relaxation and better sleep, leads to enhanced intelligent and rapid reactions, and facilitates different stages of wound healing and stimulating cell repair.

A study published in 2021 in the journal Scientific reports that exposure to frequencies similar to the Schumann Resonances can improve memory and attention in humans. All these findings are significant because with the increasing use of technology also comes an increase in toxic electromagnetic pollution.2

Radio waves, microwaves that are beamed from satellites and towers fill up the environment. Computers, internet, WiFi, cellphones, smart home appliances, smart TV’s, smart refrigerators, smart thermostats filling up our homes all talk to each other by sending waves back and forth. Meanwhile, we are caught in the crossfire between technology, modern conveniences and interference. Research indicates that environmental exposure to artificial EMFs can interact with fundamental biological processes in the human body. Prolonged exposure to EMFs especially from all these smart devices could have detrimental effects on us. Scientific studies have linked EMF exposure to an increased risk of on the central nervous system suggests a connection between EMF exposure and increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases.3

There are actions we can take to improve our exposure to EMFs to minimize electrosmog like turning off WiFi routers at night and keeping phones and laptops away from our bodies. We can also take actions to improve our connection to SR by spending time in nature, practicing grounding, and using a device like tuün® Resonate to weaken the effects of EMFs on the body and for promoting a healthier and happier life. As we navigate through the challenges of a modern, technical world, it’s essential to keep in mind the incredible power of the Schumann Resonances. We can live a life that is both balanced and satisfying if we work to restore harmony between Earth and our own minds. Embracing this connection unlocks the path towards a more peaceful and content life.
