Your Best Morning Routine

How accomplished and productive do you feel when your head hits the pillow at night? If there’s room to improve (like there is for most of us), it’s time to implement a new morning routine.

As with most areas of success, your routine requires some planning. You’re in the driver’s seat here to make your morning work for you and set you up for an amazing day. The tips below can help get you started!

The Night Before

The best mornings leverage what took place the night before. If you want to document the thoughts that rent space in your head on paper, do a brain dump.

Your brain dump can look like a To-Do List or a bulleted list of reminders. Don’t overthink this part; it’s just about writing down everything that needs your attention tomorrow. Think about any emails or messages you need to send, that appointment with your chiropractor you need to make, the HIIT workout you want to fit in, and the meal prep you want to have ready for dinner. Regardless of your list, enjoy the peace of mind that comes when you free up your mind with this preparedness.

Next, it’s critical to get a great night’s sleep. If you need help with that, give your body the gift of quality sleep and repair with zlēm®. It’ll allow you to sleep soundly and help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated in the morning!

A.M. Priorities

Before you even look at your phone, it’s a great practice to spend a few minutes journaling to write your goals & gratitude down for the day. Don’t feel like you have time? Get up earlier to fit this in. You’ll be glad you did!

Pick 5 things you’re grateful for and write them down. Then, pick 5 things you want to accomplish today and write them down.

Mark Twain said,

Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.

We agree! Monday.com outlines a FROG task as

a task that you must do or else face serious consequences.

Not convinced? Todoist.com highlights the FROG task as

your hardest, most important task for the day. Just one!

Imagine how good you’ll feel knocking out your hardest, froggiest task first! After all,

If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.

Fuel

It’s no secret that what we ingest contributes to what we put out. To maximize your energy and efforts, it’s important to not skip over this area.

Based on your goals, you might need a kickstart to your day. Working toward some healthy weight loss efforts or body composition goals? Add some plôs® Thermo to your morning coffee to help curb cravings and satisfy your appetite!

Need a clean, long-lasting energy boost to help with your workout or focus for your workload? Snap a brān® to amplify your day!

Enjoyment

It’s totally possible to squeeze in some fun every single day – even on busy days. In fact, we encourage it!

If you’ve got a packed schedule, plan a break or workout that allows you to get outside and switch things up a bit. Go for a bike ride, grab a fun, fruity iced tea after your workday or block an appointment with yourself to practice playing guitar.

Bake some hearty muffins or break out the Legos with the kids. Whatever passions and hobbies you enjoy, make time for them! Productivity is important but mental health, and a healthy work/life balance are too!

With a little planning each evening, you have the power to set yourself up for a successful day. Try it and see how much more accomplished and productive you feel. We know you’ll #lovit.
